Dance Afrikana’s apprenticeship program is a training-based program for dancers who are seriously interested in further developing their understanding and practice of Afro-diasporic dance.
Apprentice Program
Dance Afrikana’s apprenticeship is a training-based program for dancers who are seriously interested in further developing their understanding and practice of Afro-diasporic dance. In the Apprenticeship Program, dancers will receive performance opportunities, mentorship, and training in Afro-Cuban, Afro-Brazilian, Afro-Caribbean, and West African dance.
Qualifications
- Applicants must audition for this program, and must be at least intermediate to be accepted.
- Applications are open to dancers from ages 13-19.
- Auditions for the Apprenticeship Program will be held in May.
Cost
The Apprenticeship Program costs $150 a month, for a total of $1,500 that will be paid in three installments.
First payment: $750 due July 1
Second payment: $375 due August 1
Third payment: $375 due September 1
